Mr. Pierre Krahenbühl, the Commissioner General for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is paying a visit to Turkey between 21 and 23 November 2016.

This visit offers an opportunity for discussing the cooperation between Turkey and the Agency conducting significant works in many fields such as education and health with the aim of improving difficult living conditions of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, and for assessing the steps that can be taken in the forthcoming period within the framework of our policy regarding the Palestinian issue and our cooperation with the Agency.

During the visit, the Commissioner General will have a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız In addition, the Commissioner General will be received by the Prime Minister and will have contacts with the Chair and members of the TGNA Turkey-Palestine Friendship Group. He will also visit Turkish institutions responsible for humanitarian assistance. ​
